Effects of Radix Ginseng upon Tolerance of Mice to Positive Radial Acceleration

Abstract
|
|
|
A total of 56 normal male and female mice were administered Radix Ginseng (0.1,? 0.25gm per day) for about fifty days. They were then exposed to various positive radial acceleleration. At the same time, forty two normal mice were exposed as controls. Absence of visible respiration was the criterion of death. Per cent mortality of the both groups were compared.
The conclusion obtained from the results is as follows:
No significant effects increasing tolerance to relatively large positive acceleration could be recognized in mice to which Radix Ginseng was administered for a long period.
